Phase 1: Relief Care
Often pain is our brain’s attempt at getting us to pay attention to what is going on. This first phase is about reducing the pain and symptoms so that messages sent to the brain are no longer a concern. Pain may be the first thing that resolves after you come to see us, but the underlying cause may be still present. Our goal is to increase your body’s mobility allowing you to stabilise and restore you as close to normal function as possible. Visits may be more frequent during this period and will be identified for you after your initial visit. You may already be under care at our practice. If you experience a new injury or episode of painful dysfunction, then we will re-examine you with your ‘new’ presenting issues and create a ‘new’ care plan moving forward.
